The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Monday confirmed a couple of International Friendlies against Myanmar next month. 

In a press release by the ANFA, it stated that Nepali football team will be playing against Myanmar on September 8 and 11.

The friendly series will fall under the FIFA International window and will be played in in Yangon, Myanmar. 

This friendly series will be a part of Nepal's preparation for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers. Nepal is drawn against Laos in ther first round. The first match will be played at Nepal's home ground on October 12 whereas Nepal will travel to Laos on October 17. 

If Nepal manages to go through the round 1, Nepal will join UAE, Bahraina and the winner of another round 1 match between Sri Lanka and Yeman in Group H. The second round matches will be played in home-and-away format in between November 2023 and June 2024.
