Tribhuwan Army Football Club is taking on the two times Indian Super League (ISL) champions Chennaiyin FC in their second match of the Durand Cup 2023.

Tribhuwan Army FC played 1-1 draw in their first match of the tournament against Delhi FC last week. Nepal's departmental side conceded the late equaliser to share the spoils in the first match. 

Similarly, Chennaiyin FC defeated Hyderabad 3-1 in their first match and currently sits at the top of Group E.

A total of 24 clubs are participating in the competition including two foreign clubs for the first time. 19 India clubs and 5 services teams from India, Nepal and Bangladesh are divided into six groups of four teams each.

Group toppers from all six groups will qualify for the quarter-final. Similarly, the two best second place finishers will also make it to the quarterfinal to make it 8 teams.

Nepal's Army club will play their last game of the league aganist Hyderabad FC on August 22.

The match between Tribhuwan Army FC and Chennaiyin FC will be played at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium and will kick off from 3:15 pm Nepali Time.
