The sixteenth edition of ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup is all set to start from 19th January in South Africa. 

A total of 16 countries are participating in the tournament and Nepal is one of them. Nepal secured their qualification to this mega event following their win over UAE U19 in the final of Asia Qualifier.

India are the defending champions. Initially Sri Lanka were the host nation but later it was shifted to South Africa due to suspension of International Cricket Council (ICC) over Sri Lanka Cricket Board.

In the opening match of the U19 World Cup 2024, host South Africa will take on West Indies on 19th January. 

Nepal will play their first match against New Zealand on 21st January. Nepal are in Group D along with New Zealand, Afghanistan and Pakistan. 

Warm Up and Practice Matches



All the teams will play a couple of warm-up matches ahead of the main tournament. However, Nepal will play a couple of two practice matches ahead of their 2 scheduled warm-up matches. 

Nepal will play against Scotland on 8th January before taking Namibia on 11th January. Nepal will again play Scotland and West Indies in the official warm-up matches scheduled by ICC.
