Argentina will kick off their Copa America title defense against Canada in the tournament’s opening match on Thursday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Canada, making their Copa America debut after defeating Trinidad and Tobago in a playoff, joins the tournament as one of six CONCACAF teams. 

Argentina, the reigning champions, claimed their first Copa America title since 1993 by beating Brazil in the 2021 final, marking Lionel Messi’s first international trophy.
