The ACC Under-19 Women's T20 Asia Cup 2024 kicked off on Sunday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, featuring six top teams from across Asia vying for the prestigious title.
Organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), this marks the inaugural edition of the tournament, played in the T20 format. The competition will culminate with the final scheduled for December 22.
The participating teams include four full members of the ACC—India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh—alongside hosts Malaysia and Nepal. Nepal earned their spot in the tournament by winning the Women's U-19 Asia Qualifier 2025.
The tournament’s structure divides the six teams into two groups of three for the first round. Following the round-robin stage, the top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Four stage. Teams finishing third in their respective groups will compete in a playoff for fifth and sixth place.
The Super Four stage will feature another round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the grand final on December 22 to compete for the championship.
