Jai Trophy Elite Cup Final Begins Today at Mulpani

The Jai Trophy Elite Cup is set to begin today, with two departmental teams — Tribhuvan Army Club and Nepal Police Club — competing for the title.

The match will be played at Mulpani Cricket Ground, starting at 9:30 AM. The final will be played as a three-day match, whereas the league-stage games were played in a two-day format.

The round-robin league stage had been completed earlier before the parliamentary elections. Four teams participated in the tournament, with Tribhuvan Army Club finishing at the top of the table with 66 points, while Nepal Police Club secured second place with 65.5 points, earning their spots in the final.

During the league phase, Army played three matches, winning one and drawing two. Police won two matches and lost one. Meanwhile, Armed Police Force Club finished third, and Bagmati Province Cricket Team ended the league stage in fourth place.
