Sandeep Lamichhane Shortlisted for The Hundred Auction 2026
Nepal's leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been shortlisted for the auction of the Hundred 2026. More than 700 players around the world registered for the Auction of Men's the Hundred 2026. Sandeep Lamichhane was the only Nepali player to register for the auction.
With so many players across men's and women's category registering for the auction, the eight men's and women's teams were required to nominate up to 100 players they'd be interested in purchasing. Any player with at least one nomination has been included on the longlists. Therefore, at lease one team of the Hundred is interested in Sandeep Lamichhane as his name is listed in the longlists.
The men's Auction will feature 247 players, with 2025 MVP Jordan Cox up for grabs, as well as stars of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup like Finn Allen and Aiden Markram.
Fifty of the biggest name players have been picked out of each longlist and will be involved in Phase 1 of the Auction, with the remainder of the longlist, and those unsold in Phase 1, featuring in Phases 2 and 3.
Sandeep Lamichhane was previously picke up by Oval Invincible in the inaugural season of the Hundred. However, he could not feature in the league due to visa issue and was force to return Nepal even after reaching UK.
The Hundred Auction will take place on 11 and 12 March.
